MediaVPs

The MediaVPs contain all of the enhanced artwork and graphics that take advantage of the new capabilities of the FS2Open. These enhancements will apply to the original FreeSpace 2 campaign, or any campaigns based on it. Note that you must be running FS2Open to use the MediaVPs, as they will cause FreeSpace 2 to crash.

If you have not installed the MediaVPs before, it is recommended that you use the Automated Installer (This will also install FS2Open and the Launcher).

System Requirements
• AMD Athlon XP/64/X2, Intel P4/Core 2 Duo, or similar
• Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS X 10.4+, or a recent Linux distro
• GeForce 5xxx or Radeon 9xxx or other OpenGL-compatible video card.
• An OpenAL-compatible sound card
• 1 GB RAM, 2 GB recommended.
• A working FS2_Open install
• OpenAL 1.1 (Download page)

To install the MediaVPs manually, create a new directory in your FreeSpace 2 directory called "mediavps". Extract the .zip files, and copy the .vp file from each one to this directory. Then, run the Launcher and select the "mediavps" directory as the current mod directory.
