OSWindows 7 x86 x64
Product Version3.6.14 RC4
Summary0002595: HUD - Lower screen resolutions have off-centred or missing elements.
Description640x480 - All the HUD elements seem oversized and centred about the bottom RH quarter of the screen.

800x600 - Radar and 12 O'clock element offset slightly to the left

1024x600 - No HUD elements on screen.

Higher resolutions seem correct ie. 1024x768 and 1920x1080 .
Steps To ReproduceTested under Win7 x86 and x64 using fs2_open_3_6_14_RC4.exe, Training mission 3 of FSPort 3.3 (uses GTF Apollo).
Additional InformationThe HUD is correct when using 3.6.12 at 640x480, 800x600, 1024x600, etc.

Initially found using low resolutions on a HP-110 Netbook. However testing 640x480 and 800x600 on my i7 desktop produced the same results.

I tried an older nightly build fs2_open_3_6_13r_INF_SSE2-20110629_r7290.exe and that was the same so it doesn't look like a new bug.

The problem seems limited to FSPort. Investigating further I found the 640x480 HUDs to be ok in vanilla FS2 (mediavps_3612, Training-1.FS2) and BP:AoA (blueplanet) but similarly faulty in Silent Threat Reborn (fsport-str).

I believe this is caused by a faulty hud_gauges.tbl. As such, it is not a code, but a data problem.

Thanks, the fix wasn't as hard as I feared. I took the example 3:4 mv_root-hdg.tbm from the FSPort Install Guide and put it in "fsport-mediapvs\data\tables" and changed the first line from NO to YES

$Load Retail Configuration: YES

The 3.6.14 RC4 HUDs in FSPort and ST:R then seemed the same as the 3.6.12 versions at 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x600.
