Summary0001880: Homesick mission "Ram Raid" crashes on briefing.
DescriptionYes, another problem with Homesick. The mission "Ram Raid" (wherein the Custodian decides to strike back at GTVI instead of continuing to run) causes the game to crash on briefing. The briefing screen loads, and the game immediately freezes and then crashes to desktop while the briefing text is starting to display.

I'm getting this now

Warning: End icon (2/1) missing for line 0 in briefing stage 0
File: missionbriefcommon.cpp
Line: 1216

But that's a warning. You should be able to continue from that by simply clicking No a couple of times.

The game immediately crashes to desktop; there's nothing to click.

Is this still an issue?

I don't know. I just (as in, today) transferred my Freespace install to a new machine running Windows 7, so I need to test again. It was as of last time I tried it on my old computer, though. I'll get back to you ASAP.

Debug log attached. Build 9357.

I suspect this is a mission/mod issue and not a code issue. Current debug builds don't crash anymore though. They will throw a warning and then proceed like normal.

Very interesting. I also suspect this is a mission issue. Can you attach the mission itself?

Yes, this is a mission issue. Somehow, the lines specify icon indexes that don't exist.

Data issue; code accommodates it without crashing; no change required.
