Summary0001648: Values not saved in ship editor if you advance to next wing in wing editor.
DescriptionProbably easier to just give you the scenario of what I was doing then to try to explain it. Just open any mission with more than one wing. Open the wing editor and select the first wing. Move the wing editor off to the side and open the ships editor. The entire wing should be up for edit if not reselect it in the wing editor. Change a value. In my case I was trying to change the score. Click next in the wing editor. Now click previous in the wing editor. Notice the value you entered for score has not been changed. Change it again and hit next in the ship editor. Notice that this does save the value for the whole wing. It does the same thing for other fields as well. I didn't try them all but didn't see any that it worked for.
Additional Information3.6.9 and 3.6.10 builds of FRED tried. Any mission with more than one wing will do for testing.

That's probably not going to change unless we make the Ship and Wing editors modal (i.e you can't open one if the other one is open). In which case we lose a load of functionality in order to solve one tiny bug.

Never worked with coding for windows all that much but isn't there a way to do the checks and save when the ship editor looses focus?

If not and knowing how much you like making GUI changes what about an apply button for such occasions?

Given the speed UI changes quickly spiral out of control for me I'm not adding an apply button. I tend to think you should voluntarily be using the editors modally anyway and only have two open at the same time if you need to check data in one while working in another. Having two editors open at the same time and making changes in both is a recipe for disaster.

Might as well close this one since no one else seems to want it.
