| Description | During the first campaign mission, where the transports are damages, there are black boxes around all of the flames and fog that comes off of the transports and obscures the transport behind it. There are also black boxes where the shield gets hit on a fighter, temporarily obscuring the fighter and is very annoying. | ||||

You aren't using mediavps alpha patches. Grab them from here:http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,39905.0.html The problem is the RIGHT usage of texture alpha channel which controls transparency. Old builds didn't care about it and because of that, there are a lot of textures in mediavps with wrong alpha channels (fully white => black boxes). No one else has reported this with the betas or gamma MVPs, so it can be marked as fixed. |

All indications I see there are that he's using the 3.6.8 VPs without the 710 patches. The thread he links to as his source is Black Doves thread that then links to WMCs 3.6.8 VPs release. He must have just missed the patch links up the top. (Or at least I did) |

Ok then, closing as resolved in the 3.6.10 MediaVPs (and possibly the 3.6.8 with the proper patches). |
