Summary0000595: Shinemaps not disappearing when they should.
DescriptionThis bug is... Ah... Difficult to describe. Sometimes when a ship explodes or warps out it slowly disappears in a linear fashion. With my graphics setup (GeForce MX4000 and D3D 8 running) the ship divides, but the shinemaps remain. This is ESPECIALLY odd with a capship explosion, since the shinemap duplicates and the two halves move away. Here's a screen.

Er, not sure if it's the Shinemaps or Glowmaps that are screwing up on me. Whichever one creates all the red on the Shivan fighters.

Glowmaps. And this looks like the type of problems you'll get if your video card doesn't support more than one clipping plane IIRC.

Alright, well, I'm looking at switching cards to an ATI 9200.

What confuses me, though, is the fact that it ONLY happens with D3D 8. With the other two the problem is gone, but unfortunately the lighting is all wonky with em. As in, the game acts like full lighting is coming from all directions.
