radeon 7000 ic... i just tested the SCP on my friends brand new (custom built) he has an 9200, spec in HTL wont work on that card either |

AFAIK my R7k works perfectly with spec. either that, or my eyes are going all wierd again (viable option in my case). EDIT: i do need an eye check, or i've got alzheimers or something. it doesn't work. edited on: 03-04-04 08:21 |

d3d_SetTextureStageState( 0, D3DTSS_COLORARG1, D3DTA_SPECULAR); is the line of code ( in set_stage_for_spec_mapped() ) that makes spec disappear. However without it the specular is way too bright. Now its Bobs call, is there a way to fix this or is this range of ati cards just not going to support specular? |

I have no idea why it isn't working and no way to tell if any ideas I have to fix it work, you might want to try moveing the stage around maybe specular just isn't suported in the first stage, or maybe we can have it modulate in the second stage and just select arg1 for the first stage, but as I said I have no way to tell if anything I do is going to work. (as I don't have the hardware) |
