| Description | I've added a fourth species, and the game is fine with it. But FRED won't parse the icon table if it's set up up for this fourth species. If I reset or rename the icon table, FS2_Open will not parse it. Thus I declare that the problem lies with FRED. | ||||

Which FRED are you using? It's possible that it wasn't compiled with the MORE_SPECIES option. |

Um... the one in the latest versions of everythng thread - the one you updated the other day. It would help ig FRED actually had a more specific version number in it (same goes for FS2 while I'm on the subject) |

That would probably be it then. It has to do with the way Kazan coded it: you need to compile it a certain way to get it to work. Bad idea, if you ask me. You shouldn't need to run a BALLISTIC_PRIMARIES exe every time you want them. :-/ This will get put on the "stuff to recode" list. |

um--- you have to define MORE_SPECIES - just like when compiling FS2 Open itself |

This is fixed now right. The new header that Kazan added should prevent this in the future as long as we remember to add any new #defines to it. |
