| Summary | 0000842: Videos don't play at all | ||||
| Description | Running 20060228 on Mac OS X, no cutscenes are shown. I haven't disabled them in the command line parameters. When trying to view a video in the tech room, I get a message that it cannot be played. I checked my fs2_open directory, and all the MVE files are in /data/movies/. | ||||
| Additional Information | I thought it was just me, but someone on the forum is having the same problem with the Linux build. This issue was not present in the old 3.6.7 build. Attached is a log of me just opening fs2 and trying to play some videos in the tech room, then quitting. | ||||

CVS builds don't include the MVE player yet. I have a patch for it against CVS, but that means you have to apply the patch compile the build yourself. Only the 3.6.7 build has fully MVE support (as will the next official build) and intermediate builds won't come with MVE until the code is finally ready for CVS (it needs to work better under Windows). So, this isn't a bug. If you want the patch to add MVE support just e-mail me and I'll happily provide it. Along with the instructions on how to build (that should show up tonight) you'll be able to handle all of that pretty easily. |
