| Summary | 0000794: launcher does not give a message if launcher6.ini is corrupted. | ||||
| Description | I was mucking around with command line flags for spec_{lighting} settings and I think I fat fingered something. All I got was an error message about laucher encountered an error and needs to close. I reinstalled the exe and had the same error, so I deleted the .ini file and it fixed. So basically I just want to report that the launcher does not give a clue if it's .ini file is hosed. Someone else had this problem on HLP so I would like to report it for you. | ||||

I encountered the same problem, and examined it. Result of examination: If the command line of launcher.ini is too long (maybe command line characters over 255), fso_launcher crashes when being start next time. |

Yea its something like that. I've tripled the length of the string size to 768. Whenever a new launcher build is posted, can you please test. |
