Summary0000748: Miscalculations in functions
DescriptionSome functions operate with numbers improperly.
Example: if subsystem has 100% and I do sabotage-subsystem(SomeShip,SubSys,100), it must be destroyed, but in fs2_open(latest) it has 1% left

Works for me™

Which ship and subsystem are you using this on?
Have you enabled the special hitpoints function for this ship?
Does this occur if you set the last parameter for sabotage-subsystem to something like 150?
Does using set-subsytem-strength(ship,subsys,0) give the same results?

It happen with any ship no matter special hitpoints enabled or not. set-subsystem-strength(ship,subsys,0) works fine.
Checking 150 value now

But 100 gives 1% remain

IIRC this might be somehow related to difficulty level. Could you compare the effects on both very easy and insane? (Don't ask me where I read it, it's something I read over 3 years ago, when I tried FRED once.)

No difference

How does it act in retail? (This might also be dependent on difficulty levels)

sabotage-subsystem is not dependant upon difficultly level, all it does is subtract off the percentage of the specified hitpoints. thesource2, tell me which exact ship and subsystem you're using this on, either that or attach the mission. Its working on my end so i'd like to take a look at what may be causing this.

Here you go, but as told before, it happens in any mission.
I even created simple mission with one ship.

Still works for me™

Can any other coders try and replicate this?

Bug persists in 20060130-redmenace
But you say that all works fine for you.....
Could it be connected to CPU architectute? Are you using something like SSE,SSE2 or 3DNow?
