| Summary | 0000666: INSTALL incorrect for Linux source compliation | ||||
| Description | Install does not mention the necessary "libtoolize" step required to build the source (at least on my system.) | ||||
| Additional Information | Running a reasonably untweaked developer's Ubuntu. Also, specifying the required autotools version would be nice, as all Debian derivatives are set back to a very old version by default, which creates no end of confusion. | ||||

I don't ever remember having to manually run libtoolize before. Did you bootstrap it properly (run ./autogen.sh) and it completed without error? automake version 1.6.1 or higher autoconf version 2.54 or higher The INSTALL file is updated (barely). |

Worked for me. Thanks again. |

Fixered (if you can consider a crappy INSTALL file a bug :)). |
