Summary0000666: INSTALL incorrect for Linux source compliation
DescriptionInstall does not mention the necessary "libtoolize" step required to build the source (at least on my system.)
Additional InformationRunning a reasonably untweaked developer's Ubuntu. Also, specifying the required autotools version would be nice, as all Debian derivatives are set back to a very old version by default, which creates no end of confusion.

I don't ever remember having to manually run libtoolize before. Did you bootstrap it properly (run ./autogen.sh) and it completed without error?

automake version 1.6.1 or higher
autoconf version 2.54 or higher

The INSTALL file is updated (barely).

Worked for me. Thanks again.

Fixered (if you can consider a crappy INSTALL file a bug :)).
