Summary0000659: Music loss
DescriptionWith the latest Inferno build, music during mission disappear progressly until their are no music. I have update my sound card driver to support OpenAL (nForce 2 Soundstorm). If I use an older one, the fs2_open_r-inferno-20050918 build, sound works fine.

If you remove mv_music.vp does it still mess up?

Does this work in the most recent builds? Note that you will need an OpenAL version of at least 1.1

Nope, the problem is still here. At the beginning of the mission, it work then after X minutes, music went off automatically.

I have a nForce 2 sound chipset, and use the latest driver. Taylor or redmenace tell me with newer driver I don't need to install OpenAL

Music is played fine now. I don't know if you change something in the code into the 16.01.2006 build. If no, I suppose the new Direct X 9.0c from the 27 december 2005 has fixed the OpenAL support.

Changes were made to the sound code to fix a couple of bugs so I guess that could have been it. I don't want to consider this resolved since I don't know what caused it but if it happens again please reopen this bug.
