| Summary | 0000597: Error in finding fs2_open_357.exe | ||||
| Description | I run the launcher for the first time, I go to enter the location of fs2_open_357.exe, and when I click on that file, an error message saying "failed EnumAdapterModes in UpdateAntialiasList" It happend multiple times. First, when it happend, I deleted the FS2 directory. I re-installed. It happend again. Then I delete everything that has to do with FS2 on my computer. It still happens! It also happens when I downloaded it again and tried. | ||||
| Additional Information | I had the HOTU version installed with ROOT.vp and the Voice VP's added. There were no mods. It was a perfectly clean copy. | ||||

Are you using the launcher to run the game the first time? It's very possible that your registry isn't set up for FSO. |

That was actually my bad, as I was not reading the bug correctly. What this sounds like is you trying to use the new launcher with an old version of FSO. Unless that's a typo, I'm reading that you're trying to use 3.5.7. FSO is currently at 3.6.7, and the launcher got a major upgrade around 3.6 IIRC. It's very possible that an older build is incompatible. Try a newer build. |
