| Description | Ive set the detailto the lowest possible..and when i play freespace open The whole program freezes when A ship uses its beam turret (After a few seconds of it) adn I dotn even have to be looking at it. I have a good computer with enough resources but Idk whats wrong. | ||||

Well. Amd Sempron 64 bit 3300+. 512 mb ram. 2.9ghz. Not sure what v-card I have or if its an onboard or what but its a 64mb and It runs the fs2 Demo Just fine. I got winxp home The drivers are up to date... Thats about it edited on: 09-24-05 14:32 |

What video card you have is the most improtant thing since that's most likely the problem. |

Ok, its an onboard 64mb s3 Unichrome 3D...But still...It played the demo PERFECTLY...and I have no trouble playing other highend games (Most of the time) I also heard reinstalling it (Or extracting) would fix it...Any ideas? |

S3 video cards aren't supported. They are crap basically and don't support enough features for the game to run properly. The demo has nothing to do with it since the demo is based on the original game which supported lower-end video cards. FS2_Open requires a full featured video card and the S3 can only supply most of those features through software which isn't acceptable. Sorry, but you'll have to get a new video card to make the game work properly. You can ask in the forums what people are currently recommending. |
