| Description | Game crashes to desktop when loading a mission. It usually gets about 2/3rds of the way through the loading indicator but I have seen it crash when only the first light is on. | ||||
| Additional Information | It seems like the first time I try a mission it works fine. If I then exit the game and try to restart it later it crashes. This only appears to happen if I'm using DirectX. If I choose to use OpenGL the mission starts fine, but usually crashes during actual gameplay. My command line is: C:\games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_T-20050622-dbg.exe -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -d3dmipmap -nomotiondebris -2d_poof -snd_preload I've tried the following FSSCP executables all with the same result fs2_open_3_6_5.exe fs2_open_T-20050613.exe fs2_open_T-20050622.exe fs2_open_T-20050622-dbg.exe I've got the following *.vp files, all version 3.6.6 mv_adveffects.vp mv_core.vp mv_models.vp mv_music.vp mv_textures.vp I've included a zip file with the fs.log output from using fs2_open_T-20050622-dbg.exe, dxdiag and errorlog.txt | ||||

Move mv_music.vp out of the way and see if it still happens. |

That seems to have fixed things. I thought I tried this already when I was looking through the existing bug reports, but I guess renaming isn't the same as moving in this case. Thanks for your help and I apologise for the duplication. |
