Summary0000478: Collision pairs more sensitive than retail
DescriptionLately, I've noticed that in several missions of The Aeos Affair and (I believe) Boomerang, the maximum number of collidable objects seems to be hit faster than in retail. As a result, some missions are MUCH harder as you simply can't destroy bombers or the bombs they launch - but they can still hit your capital ships.

Usually, it seems to go away after a bit, presumeably because an AI ship manages to destroy another and frees up some collision pairs.

Obviously, this usually occurs in missions with lots of ships/objects (especially asteroids).

hey, when you say it doesnt hit, is it like you shoot your lasers and missles and things, and they just kind of dissapear whent eh hit the target?

i just finnished playing throguht the fs1 port and i had this problem where i wasnt seeing things like sheild hit effect, or just tiny ones, wich might just be a change to make it look more like the origonal fs1 but also i found things like my prometheus s was not doing the hit effects..or the sounds of the...*doosh* when you hit. was kinda weird..

Like you shoot, but the weapons and stuff actually go through the ship and out the other side.

no, like i dont see any hit effects

aslo i noticed the sheild hit effects have been changed..to a more un noticable kind or something..it is no longer the intense white reaction you see when hitting a fully charged sheild with lasers

Didn't reallize this was still here. Collision pairs are now allocated dynamically which effectively squashes this.
