Summary0000461: Crash when trying to play "next mission"
DescriptionFS2 crashes when you hit "commit" on the mission screen, just after the breifing.. It invariably happens. I can load one mission, but as soon as I beat that mission and go on to the next, bam crash. I have to restart FS2 every time I want to play the next mission. The exact error is:
"The instruction at "0x06d90144" referenced memory at "0x0c202688". The memory could not be "read"

Both the instruction and memory location values change.
Steps To Reproduce1: Open FS2.
2: enter a mission.
3: whip some ass.
4: gloat about your kills.
5: press "accept" to go to the next mission.
6: Wait for the next mission to load
7: listen to the briefing
8: press "commit" to play
9: shake your fist at fs2 because it crashes.

wait, sorry, the instruction location is the same, but the address that could not be read changes.

Could you try a newer build from the recent builds forum?

Thanks for the very complete report, BTW.

no problem. A word of note: This only happens in GL mode. d3d does not crash for me. I guess it needs to be changed to GL instead of "gameplay".

I'll try a recent build, but I hesitate to screw around with anything that seems to work.

Ah, you'll have to use the -novbo cmdline option to get it to stop crashing. This only is only for OGL and was finally fixed in the 20050103 build. All builds since also have the fixed code so any build in the recent builds forum should work. If you still want to use 3.6.5 then I suggest using 20050103 instead since it's basically just a bug fixed version of 3.6.5.
