| Summary | 0000451: Simulated text plays through -nosound flag | ||||
| Description | The "No Sound and Music" flag doesn't disable simulated speech, whereas it probably should. Its insanely easy to make the speech stop (ie; click it in the launcher), but when you need to run without sound, and forget, its there... | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Enable simulated speech, then enable the -nosound flag in the launcher, and go to somewhere that the speech normally plays. Viola; speech. | ||||
| Additional Information | C:\Program Files\Inferno\fs2_open_inf.exe -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -d3dmipmap -nomotiondebris -2d_poof -dualscanlines -ship_choice_3d -targetinfo -orbradar -snd_preload -nosound -dnoshowvid -d3d_bad_tsys -env -decals -fps -pos -window Simulated speech enabled for tech rooom, ingame, and briefing/debriefing I did NOT try the Open_AL build yet... | ||||

I almost didn't want to do this but figured that if you didn't want sound or music then you probably didn't want to hear anything. Not really worth also adding a -nospeech cmdline option since you can turn off in the Launcher so it will now honor -nosound. Fixered. |
