| Description | I noticed during TBP Raider Wars 2.0 Beta, the OGG files for the Command Briefings, Mission Briefings, and Debriefings, have a couple of anomalies. Each voicefile will repeat the first 3/4 of a second (or so), like a stutter, then skip the last 3/4 of a second (or so) of the file. This occurs for each stage. | ||||

OpenAL or DirectSound? It's a known bug with OpenAL that I thought was already fixed. That bug only affected debriefings though so perhaps you are seeing something different. Is it specific to OGGs or can you convert them the WAV and have it do the same thing? I'll play with this tonight, maybe I'll be able to find it quickly. |

You're right. I played some more last night and didn't notice it with debriefings, so I was wrong there. Anyway, I found the bug while using both the standard and OAL builds of your 06-02, but rather than DirectSound, I usually have my launcher set to EAX, since I do have a Creative Labs sound card. |

Tracked this down to a seeking issue and it no longer skips at the start of an OGG. The end of an OGG is now a problem though and I think I got it worked out but will test a little more before releasing a build just to be sure. |

Took much longer than I thought but it's working better than ever now (at least I hope). Had to go back to seekable streams in order to get the needed commands but it was worth it and now it's a lot cleaner than it was previously. The new build will be released shortly but it will be OAL only. The changes needed mean that I only want to do it once unless it's perfect. It will require more work before hitting CVS but at least the OpenAL side of things is ready to go. After you play with the build for a bit give a report as to whether it's 100% or not. If so then I'll go ahead and get it in CVS. |

Looks to be fixed. Reopen if it's still a problem with my newest build. Code won't hit CVS until later this week so be aware that new builds before next week probably won't have the fix. Fixered. |
