| Summary | 0000382: Tempest Missles dont show up when fired | ||||
| Description | In any level I cant get the tempest missle to show up when fired in gameplay. It hits other ships and does damage but is totally invisible. I havent played this new build (fsopen r) long enough to try another missle, but i will report back asap. | ||||
| Additional Information | i dont know if this will help at all but. winxp amd1900xp 1 gig ram asus a7v 333 mobo geforce 3 64 meg (ti200) sound blaster extigy standard crt monitor at 85 hz using build 3.6.5 running fsopen r | ||||

Thanks for providing the info. :) What version of the mediaVPs are you using, and where exactly did you get the build from? (Is it an official release or just a recent build) |

Thats weird i delete a file and now i can see them? well i didnt delete it i just moved it out of the dir you spec. That fixed it though |

yea, the IBX files are some intermediate files that are generated to speed model loading. If the game sees they exist, they'll load from them rather than the POF files (which is where everything is initally stored). sometimes they become corrupt for some reason and the models don't render the right way. |

just a note in the retail version of this the tempest does a lot more damage to the bad guys then it does in the scp version. youre call for hit points but i can land almost every one of these and the seen to me turned down a ton. cool by me just takes more pilioting skills but in the retail ver of the game i dont need to unload a entire bank (herc 2 at 400 missles first bank) to destroy a bad guy. |
