| Summary | 0000341: FreeSpace Open refuses to run if FreeSpace is installed to a drive other than C: | ||||
| Description | My FreeSpace2 was installed on F:\Games\FreeSpace2. I installed FreeSpaceOpen to F:\Games\FreeSpace Open. The Launcher was running fine but when i clicked on RUN, FreeSpace loaded the splashscreen and then dropped back to desktop immediately. Next Try, I installed FreeSpaceOpen to C:\Games\FreeSpaceOpen. Same behavior. It worked neither with DirectX nor with OpenGL. Then I installed FreeSpace2 to C:\Games\FreeSpace2 and everything worked fine. | ||||

What version of windows? What builds? What version of the launcher? This is odd, since I generally have the SCP on D:, and it always worked fine. |

Shouldn't FSO be installed to the exact same directory as FS2? |

FSO needs to be installed in the same directory as FS2. Sorry. |

Needs to be in the same directory, or a copy needs to be installed in the target directory. Copy the game directory from c: to d: then install fso in d: |
