Summary0000243: Variables aren't allowed to be used in the ship arrival/depart cues
DescriptionJust as the title says. Yes i know im a coder and can fix this myself, but it would be nice to get this stuff logged.

I have a picture i can upload to illustrate this point. As you can see the title is greyed out.

Sexp_tree.cpp specifically says "only allow variables in event mode" (that is, the event editor). There's probably a reason for this. Do the variables work if you add them manually, in Notepad?

i haven't tried. i think an easy workaround would be to have an event that fires when the variable gets to a certain point and then link that event in the arrival/departure cue.

I just fixed this; it seems silly to keep it open. :p Variables now work in all places where you can build sexps. If anyone runs into a problem with this, they can open another bug.

Fix0red.
