Summary0002426: Changing Playback Device on launcher from Generic Software Mod to Generic Software Mode (High Definition) doesn't change
DescriptionIf you try to change playback device and apply, go to the Registry and it'll still say the former. This happens some time after 3.6.12 and occurred before Antipodes 7 was committed. I guess it's related to Antipodes 6 but can't say for certain.

That's because the new sound code automatically selects the best available sound device it can find, based on what openAL reports. Check your fs2_open.log
