| Summary | 0002414: I get little to no sound | ||||
| Description | The quality is fine, the timing is terrible if it even plays. It's like my soundcard has only 1 channel devoted to sound. I've tried OpenAL hardware and software. Neither of them work right. The menu sounds and the music work fine, it's the in-game music such as cannon fire and ambient noise like ship engines. This happens on any campaign, including the original FS2 Retail. | ||||
| Additional Information | I have a Soundblaster Live! model number CT4870. It has worked with FSO since I was introduced to it back when it was 3.6.9. I have the latest version of OpenAL and the latest drivers for the SB. FSO version specifics: 3.6.10: No sound issues 3.6.12-INF: Sound issues only if using hardware OpenAL 3.6.13-INF: Sound issues on either settings | ||||
