Product Version3.6.12 RC2
Summary0002225: Fiction Viewer doesn't show up
DescriptionOut of 16 tries with two separate missions, the Fiction Viewer NEVER showed up with RC2. With RC1, it always showed up (16 tries). Tried both 16- and 32-bits. These two missions use separate FV entries. They were made using the new FRED feature, not using the pre-3.6.12 Notepad method.

I got my Fiction Viewer from the feature's first release thread by Goober (the one that the Wiki article links to). WCS style. The interface art is in mymod/interface, only the two arrows got modified (they were colored to gray) and the main interface art was converted from TGA to uncompressed DDS because Herra says DDS is cool.

Haven't tested it with another mod, but I remember someone complain about the FV at HLP somewhere (I haven't found the thread yet).
Additional Informationr builds

1152x864, bilinear texture filtering, no anisotropic filtering, no anti-aliasing; all graphical features turned on except for disable-scale-to-window, custom lighting settings, MediaVPs active.

Okay - I found the solution to the problem. I just had to rename the files.

I had to spend some more time to look into the issue by browsing HLP. You guys do to document similar major changes, don't you think?

Umm.

That change definitely was documented on the wiki (too late, but it's definitely there).

That said, it was also documented in the Hosted Project Collaboration forum. The only place where it wasn't mentioned clearly was in the .12 RC2 thread.
