| Summary | 0002209: Crash on startup, possible cause is modded ship weapons | ||||
| Description | I've downloaded a few mods, but run into problems with some of them when I try to run them from the launcher. The game crashes after providing me with a bug report, and the report is always related to ship weaponry. See "Additional information" for bug logs. This happens whenever I use one of the the "d" types of .exe, like fs2_open_3_6_12d_INF_RC2.exe. If I run an "r" .exe, like fs2_open_3_6_12r_sse_RC2.exe, the game boots up and then informs me that there are over 31 error messages at startup, and that the Source Code Project is not responsible for anything that happens if I try to play anyway, which I have not yet done. | ||||

Whoever you are "blarg blargson", Mantis is not the right place for this. Sounds to me like an issue with your setup. Please read the FSO Support FAQ found here: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=56279.0 . Pay special attention to the part about fs2_open.logs. Generate those, and post them at the FSO support board: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=151.0 |
