Summary0002203: "Warning! you are trying to use an unsupported resolution. Please hit ESC to exit" message upon startup
DescriptionWhenever I try to run Beyond the Red Line (also using the default settings), the game will start full screen, I can see something like a greyed out menu and on top of that, drawn in white letters, the message "Warning! you are trying to use an unsupported resolution. Please hit ESC to exit" The only thing I can do is hit ESC to exit, nothing is clickable.
Additional InformationI am using Windows Vista.

This is essentially the same problem as described in
http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis/view.php?id=1381
However, that bug is closed and the last comment seems to assume it's fixed, but it is not, I'm still encountering the problem in a newly downloaded BtRL.

Please use the BTRL launcher to set the resolution to at least 1024x768. This error appears when you are trying to start the game with default settings (which in this case means that since you haven't actually made any settings, the game will start at the FS23 default of 640x480).

Please also note that BTRL is essentially unsupported, as it was built for a several-years-old version of the game engine, and is currently not publically developed. If there are further issues, please post them at the HLP Support board ( http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=151.0 ), where we can deal with issues more directly.

closed, as it is not a code bug.

Oh, before I forget: It may be necessary to run the BTRL launcher with admin privileges at least once to fix this.
