Summary0000196: Soundquality decreases
DescriptionAt a random point, the sound gets dull. This won't change until I restart FS2.

It might be related to FPS breakdowns, becaus it usually happens when there is much action on the screen.

This problem is old, was even in the vanilla FS2.

Additional InformationProbably no Drive-issue.
I go a complete new system and I'm still experiencing this bug.

I have a Sound Blaster Live Value and I didn't have the problem in the RETAIL version. Though, with SCP I started to have the issue.
Latest SB drivers.

Can someone check the version where WMCoolmon tossed in the OGL code and see if it happened? And the version directly before that, too?

I've experienced this on a Sound Blaster Live, First revision of the card. Never had sound deteroriation with retail FS2, only in 3.5.5 +
Running a fresh install of Windows XP Pro, about 10 days old, Latest web update from Creative's web site, using DirectX 9.0c, same problems with 9.0b as well.

Is anyone still having trouble with this bug? (If so, try tweaking the registry settings I added - my cumulative build should have them compiled in.)

Reminder sent to dabrain

Are you still having sound issues in the latest builds?

This seems to be reproducable, but no-one reported in. I'm not closing this yet.

Sorry, I lost my password.

I didn't get this bug in the newer builds. I think it is fixed.
