| Summary | 0001912: Target Will Randomly Switch To Nearest Hostile Ship | ||||
| Description | On random missions when using both RC1 and 2, the target will randomly switch to the nearest enemy ship. Very detrimental to gameplay, especially when acquiring aspect lock. Occurs on both RC1 and 2, occurred randomly when playing ST:R and Blue Planet, possibly others as well (untested). | ||||

Any way at all to consistently reproduce this? How often does this happen? Have you ruled out the possibility that it's a twitch in your control inputs (such as a hypersensitive joystick button)? |
Doubt it's a twitch, I stopped playing with the stick due to Win7 problems and it persists with the mouse. Try the mission in ST:R with the Karnak and the Hades, I found that the target would switch from distant bombers to Lokis and bombers close by. |
Does it appear in any other missions? Preferably using as few and least exotic mods as possible (retail data fs would be best). That particular one has the Karnak station in it which tends to cause plenty of various vector related warnings making debugging of this kind of an issue essentially impossible. |
It seems to appear when a large number of ships/a lot of heavily detailed ships are present. |

As said provide mission (or name of a mission) where this consistently happens. Also describe what you were doing in the mission when it happens. I tried reproducing this issue with the mission following the Karnak mission of the ST:R and could not see anything like what is described in this report happening. |

Haven't seen this issue come up, ever, either. I am sort of assuming it's something user-related. |

User has not provided requested information, all signs indicate it is a local setup issue. If it does reoccur and it can be reproduced by others, we will look at it again. |
