Summary0001905: 3.6.10 RC1: Ships 'flicker' when fading in through nebula
DescriptionSo far I've seen this on the Ravana and it's less apparent on small fighters. When in the nebula, as the Ravana is still completely obscured by the nebula and just starting to fade in, it seems to 'flicker', meaning that it is completely visible and unobscured for a split second. This happens intermittently while I'm approaching the Ravana. As stated before, I have also seen this happen on smaller ships like fighters.
Additional InformationI have what probably amounts to a fresh install of FS2: 3.6.10 RC1 and a fresh install of the 3.6.10 MVPs, which is the only folder I'm running as a mod. There is nothing in my FS2 folder or FS2/data (besides in the freddocs and missions folders).

I'm about to test "Mystery of the Trinity" to see whether it happens with both the Aquitaine and Trinity. I'll try to get a screenshot as well.

Frack it, forgot to add my specs:

Windoze XP,
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT with driver version 6.14.11.6218,
4GB Ram (though windoze [and FS] only sees 3.5GB 'cause it's 32bit),
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @2.2Ghz (naturally, I'm letting FS run on only one core).

interesting note... it /doesn't/ happen on, it seems, any ship except the Ravana. Two screenshots uploaded, one with the weird effect and one without.

Almost 3 years later, is this still an issue?

I haven't noticed it in a long time, so it isn't still an issue for me (and I've gone through two hardware upgrades since I reported it). I'd say it's safe to close.
