| Description | Doing some testing earlier I fired some missiles while traveling backwards in glide mode. The missiles behaved oddly. I repeated the experiment several times and finally noticed the problem. They originally travel toward the player then turned around and headed to the target. Guessing they are firing along the standard non-glide adjusted paths. | ||||

What I noticed in Build 5094 (MSVC08 compiled from SVN) is that, depending on missile initial velocity, the trail draws in front of the missile instead of behind it. Test was Myrmidon and Herc 2 in Skybox-Test. Tempests and Hornets draw trail properly, but MX-50's have the missile trail going through the missile. In both cases, the missile still oriented forward on firing. Testing was done in both glide and non-glide mode flying backwards. |

What happens if you add "$use additive weapon velocity:" to the AI Profile for that mission? |

$use additive weapon velocity: Yes Seems to fix the problem. Missile trails are still a bit out of whack but the missiles themselves look like they now fire correctly. |

I don't think so. In my opinion, the two things should be kept separate. |
