| Summary | 0000161: Choosing the missions directory with the -mod flag | ||||
| Description | When you choose to open or save a mission using FRED2_OGL it always remember the folder that was the last one used. This makes using the -mod flag a little redundant because it doesn't look in the mod dir\data\missions which is where it should look instead. | ||||

You've fixed this havent you Kazan? |

how is this a bug? my fred2_ogl remembers where i've saved how does this make the -mod flag redundant? the mod flag loads the data for that mod |

Sorry, I misread the bug. |

Forgot to check this one son I didn't notice the bug notes. What I was suggesting is that if you've used the -mod flag FRED automatically opens the load and save dialog in the <moddir>\Data\Missions folder rather than in the last used folder. Basically the problem although minor works like this. I'm FREDding for three different campaigns. If I've just saved a mission in the TMA\data\missions and then want to look at a MG mission the load dialog will open but will still be looking at the TMA\data\missions. Now why on Earth should it be looking there? If I've used the -mod option it's unlikely that I'll want to load/save missions from anywhere else. As for making the -mod switch redundant I said that cause sometimes it's simpler to just swtich the data folder around than work up the tree and drill back down again. Anyway I did say it was minor. But it's probably fixable in less time than it took me to write this so... |

I am sorry karajorma but this is a feature request. It would be nice and I have mentioned this to goober also. Therefore I am closing bug. |
