| Description | Kazan was kind enough to program hard coded autopilot with automatic cutscenes, which is pretty cool and works suprisingly well to a certain extent. I have, however, a few small nitpicks: - right now it is possible to disable the cutscene. I'd prefer not to. It disrupts the flow of the mission and interferes with scripting. - physics should be disabled. Otherwise ships "slide" when they enter formation (please take a look at this: http://wcsaga.hard-light.net/team/KeldorKatarn/new_set_object_speed_SEXP_diff.txt). - Also, when ships enter autopilot they "wiggle" a bit as they take their proper positions behind the wing leader. This is the main reason why we are still using scripted autopilot: we can disable such behavior there simply by using every time - ??? - set-object-facing-object - Alpha - NextNav . | ||||

* BUMP * Is all of this stuff still an issue? Between Kazan's various fixes, and my own, at least some of this should be addressed in newer builds. |

most of the issues should be fixed by now. I can't be sure since latest builds do not all that well with our dataset (messages.tbl related). |

Does this build have the problem(s): http://icculus.org/~taylor/fso/testing/20080403_trunk-win32.rar That one has an autopilot fix or two, plus the message limit bump from the previous build too. |

Agreed. Saga no longer uses this, so at least from our point of view this can be closed. |
