A similar, maybe related issue... if not considered related I should probably make a new report?

It is like this issue but 'inside-out' -- when windowed, pressing a key combination in the game involving Alt (like Alt+G) makes Windows make a 'ding' sound, even though the key combination works.

Backslash, can you take this one? I know what the problem is and the basic steps to fix it, but I don't have a working Windows computer anymore and I don't want to make changes to this stuff without testing it properly first. If you are willing to take this one then e-mail or PM me and I'll describe the basic problem and some ways to fix it.

This bug and your thing are attributed to the same root problem. It will take more than one actual fix to get it all, but it is all the same thing.

Backslash, are you going to take this one? I have fixed the windows "ding" sound (Alt+key) in windowed mode, and I think I know what to do for the other one.

Yeah go ahead. I got stuck and did PM taylor quite a while ago, but he's had a lot of other things he's been working on, and then I got hit by Real Life. You've got more experience -- go for it.
