| Summary | 0001388: Display goes plaid- Frame too long | ||||
| Description | Since I installed, I'm able to start, and play for about 5 minutes, then the display goes plaid, varied plaid colors. I still hear the game playing, and it responds to my controls, but I can't see anything but plaid. I don't know how to classify this, and I've been looking for someone with a similar problem for 3 weeks or so and haven't found any so I thought I'd post. I'm attaching my log file. The error i see fairly often in the log is Frame too long. Frame 8309 too long!!: frametime = 0.350 (0.350) Frame 8311 too long!!: frametime = 0.387 (0.387) I don't know if that's actually the crash or not. Even with this, I've been able to get through a level a few times, so it stays there the next time, but now I'm stuck at the 2nd real mission after protecting the mining ship. Please help! | ||||

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? Not sure if that would be the problem or not, but it's worth a try at least. |

Yes, I updated. I uninstalled all my ATI video drivers and erased all trace of them on my computer, and reinstalled the newest ones. This doesn't happen with any other game or program, never has. Oh well, maybe the next demo will just work. THanks! |

I am _so_ glad someone else made a Spaceball's joke, because I wasn't going to be able to stop myself. I was going to say turn down some graphics too, but then I realized this is BtRL and there's no mediavps to turn off. |
