| Summary | 0001180: Navbouy sound is played in time compression | ||||
| Description | This is really very minor, but I thought I mention it because its 100% reproducable. In the WCS-Stuff, Mission 2, we approach the final Navpoint together with the transport. The (hardcoded) beep-sound of the navbouy seems to be played in a much higher speed (maybe because of the time compression in the autopilot). Once the transports jumps out, the sound speed of the bouy returns to normal (maybe because of the warpsound being played). It hard to describe, maybe someone of the coders could please check it :) It's not a new bug, it's been there as long as I can think back in the autopilot history. | ||||

Don't close it (would be a waste of both our time now). Pls see the WCS internal, I have problems running the newest build properly to test this issue for you. |

K, I tried again with the build you posted here : http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,48310.msg982950.html#msg982950 The bug is still there. But I noticed something, that I didn't noticed before (so I'm not fully it is that way since the beginning or just after your first try to fix it). As soon as I reached Nav 4 (Prologue Mission 02, Escorting TCS Aurora) I afterburned towards the navbouy, and it's sound playback speed was OK. After a few seconds (maybe because the transport get's closer, around 600 m) the sound started to play very fast. Once the aurora jumps out and the warpsound played, it was back to normal. |

Any WCS Issues can be handled by WCS post-fork, but I do know that in general, Time Compression doesn't produce this effect. |
