| Summary | 0001114: Maneuvering thrusters aren't affected by engine glows | ||||
| Description | When a maneuvering thruster is behind an engine glow, it isn't obscured at all. I don't think my specs affect this, but just in case: IBM T30 Laptop Intel Pentium 4 Mobile 2.20 Ghz 512MB RAM ATI Radeon Mobility 7500 FreeSpace Open 3.6.9 - RC 7.8 Launcher 5.5 MediaVPs 3.6.8 Zeta (with adveffects and all the 710 patches) This occurs in both OpenGL and D3D, not that it should matter... | ||||

This happens because the maneuvering thrusters are rendered after the engine glows. It's just yet another render order issue that has to be added to an ever growing list of similar problems. |

Considering the changes that has been done to thruster rendering like engine glows beeing batched and everything being additive blended i think this isn't an issue anymore. Closing |
