| Description | The game starts pretty well when executing fs2_open_r, and I can go to "Ready Room", but when I click on commit button to start the mission fs2 crash with the messsage fs2_oper_r: radeon_state.c:744: radeonUpdateSpecular: Assertion `(p & (1 << 21)) !=0 And it returns to the window manager with the resolution configured in fs2, and the mouse pointer dead. It is necesary to restart with CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE. | ||||

This is a driver bug, so there isn't much we can do about it. The driver even fails some of the Mesa tests from what I understand, and FSO isn't the only game which suffers from this problem. |

ATI never wrote good OpenGL drivers. On that they vanished to the darkness of history :) |

This the open source driver actually, ATI didn't write it. Supposedly the problem has been fixed, but when and in what version I don't have a clue. |
