Post-Installation Notes for FreeSpace Open 3.6.9 Windows Executables
You'll need OpenAL to play the game. You can get OpenAL here:
http://www.openal.org/downloads.html
You'll also need to run the application launcher.exe in the folder you just installed to. Once it opens, make sure the box at the top says <The Folder You Installed To>\fs2_open_3_6_9.exe. You can play around with the options on the tabs, just make sure to leave it in OpenGL unless you're having serious problems, as D3D support is flakey.
