Summary | 0002495: Odd behavior with texture replace
Description | Texture Replace only seems to replace the specific map that you tell it to. I was told earlier that you should only have to replace the base map and the game should realize there are other maps for it to look at. This seems to have been changed in some way. http://lazymodders.fsmods.net/axemart/FreeSpace/baseinvisible.jpg All of the base textures have been replaced with invisible.dds, a completely invisible texture. The -shine, -glow and -normal maps are all copies of invisible. The main texture appears to be invisible, but the other maps are still being rendered with it.
Additional Information | Attached a mod folder with required texture files that shows the problem. Base Only Invisible only has their base textures replaced with invisible. All Invisible has all of its maps specifically replaced with invisible.

I don't think this is a bug. Certain mods wanted it this way for things like nameplates etc. |
|
As discussed in IRC, maybe a checkbox option so this behavior works like that then. |
