DescriptionHello all,
I'll try make this as detailed as I can. Basically what happens is I've got a mission where I've got the player set as Alpha 2, and because I wanted Alpha 1 to be shown as dead in the wingman gauge, I put him about 20K away, set his initial hull integrity to zero, and set them to vaporize on death. So that works fine. I've got another fighter, Beta 3, who is disabled. Beta 3's initial goal is set to guard the player (Alpha 2). When his engines are fixed (via a key-pressed SEXP in the test mission) he proceeds to fly off into the void for no particular reason.

Using x64 time compression, I've found Beta 3 stops flying away at about 20K away, and funnily enough that is where Alpha 1 would be if he had not been vaporized.

Is Beta 3 going to guard the vaporized Alpha 1 by mistake?

In the test mission, just target Beta 3. Pressing U (as per the directive) will fix his engines, and you can watch him go on his pointless quest.

I'll look at it eventually, I'm just busy now. Best bet if you're in a hurry is to hop on the #scp IRC channel and pester whatever coders are there into looking at it. ;)
