| Description | FRED Saves pointless backup files right as you open it, I have found the backup files it makes to be usefull when FRED crashes. But I have to constantly delete the backup files so it continues to make them. | ||||
| Additional Information | For some reason its limited to only making up to file backup.009 and then stops making backups. FREDers could really benifit with this feature completely fixed, because the worry that their mission may not get saved because they forgot to save after a days worth the work on it would be gone. | ||||

This isn't actually a bug. It only makes 000 to 009 because it deletes and renames the older ones. There are some problems associated with how the backup/undo system works and the whole thing could probably use a drastic overhaul but the backups are all doing something useful now. But investigating this did uncover another couple of bugs so it wasn't a complete waste of time. |
