Summary0001228: Wide screen resolution problems with aiming reticule in relation to target box
DescriptionFirst off, excellent job to everyone working on the SCP, the results are top-notch and have extended the life of this classic game indefinitely.

The issue seems to be with wide screen resolutions, such as 1680x1050 which is the max of my new LCD monitor. It is somewhat hard to describe but basically the 2D graphics that form the box that appears around a selected target are not being drawn in the correct X/Y coordinates in relation to the model appearing on the screen. When the target is perfectly lined up in the center of the screen in the middle of the reticule, the box is correctly positioned, but as soon as the target goes off center, the box starts getting drawn too far to the right or left, top or bottom, though entirely predictably.

The best way that I can think to explain it is that the target box is being drawn on the screen in relation to a 4:3 ratio display where as everything else is rendered at the 16:10 ratio, so when the target is centered on the screen there is no problem but as soon as it goes off center, the difference in ratios causes the box to start 'sliding' around the target. The further from the center the target flies, the more extreme the offset on the targeting box. This is obviously a bit of a pain since it means the lead reticule slides as well so lining up the lead reticule with the static aiming reticule takes a bit more dexterity to not overshoot. If need be, I can make a short fraps video of this in action. Thanks.
