Summary0001132: Sun doesn't blind in "Final Evacuation" (CH12-2.fs2 from ItDoH2).
DescriptionThe sun (SunWhite) doesn't blind you in this mission.

(I think it cannot be related to 0001129 in any way as I get blinded in my test missions).

I've made a test moving the sun so it wasn't behind a background nebula and it still doesn't blind.

I don't think that this is actually a bug. The mission in question is a supernova mission, and when a supernova is active the sun is handled differently. The overall effect is that it gets brighter over time and it isn't really setup for long a supernova which is active for a long period of time (like in this mission).

I'll leave this open for a little bit longer in case anyone else wants to comment. But, I don't really want to mess with this, so unless other devs really think that this is an issue I think that this is going to get closed as a won't-fix.

I've just tested it and you are fully right. So, please, consider it a possible feature upgrade and close it.

I mean, even in supernova, the sun should blind you, despite of the global effect of brightness increase. If you want to keep full backwards compatibility and behaviour, you could add a new sexp or an optional flag to the existing one.

Ok, considering it for post-3.6.9 fixage then. This is really just too minor of a concern to deal with before 3.6.9 comes out (which should be the end of next week).
