Summary0001492: Ships get faster while turning, not slower
DescriptionI noticed this recently and to be honest.. I am not sure it is a bug, but it goes against my idea of how it should be somehow..
Shouldn't the forward velocity vector of a turning ship be shorter than one of a ship flying straight ahead? I mean.. the ship needs to accelerate in the new direction first right? So why would turning make the ship faster and then leaving the stick along and flying straight in the new direction make it slow down again to the normal max velocity?

In case this is not a bug, sorry, but if it is correct I don't understand the physics behind it.
